I hate when my roleplay partner writes a long reply and I can only come up with a short one. I know people don’t like that and it makes me think they’ll drop the thread.

Sometimes long replies *aren’t* good. Sometimes they’re verbal diarrhea. Every word should be meaningful, and I’ve seen a lot of short replies to long replies and felt them superior because of the absence of excess.

I will never hold a short reply against you. If you’re advancing the story, advancing the agreed-upon objective of the arc? That’s good enough for me.

This reply is spot on, and endorsed by victor-of-latveria.

Agreed. Sometimes I feel bad posting ‘short’ after ‘long’, but most of those times it’s all that’s needed, and padding it out messes up the flow.
